In this talk, we’ll explore the fundamental essence of computer networking. What problem does it aim to solve? Why should you care at all? What knowledge will help you get by? What knowledge can help stand out? Expect to learn some basic TCP/IP, DNS, and even a few “F-words” to help sum it all up.
Brandon Hunter has been in IT since 2004 and specializing in computer networking since 2008. Throughout his career he’s held many professional certifications and is experienced across all major enterprise networking disciplines. Additionally, he’s assumed various senior, lead, management and architect roles across a number of public and private organizations and industries. When not nerding out at his day job and studying for more nerdy certifications, he can be found indulging in motorcycling (or about any motorsport), restaurants, Netflix, or daydreaming about Chinese gung fu or his snobby obsession with loose-leaf tea.
